  • Fred. Olsen Renewables team on hand to answer questions and collect comments

Leading independent renewable energy developer, Fred. Olsen Renewables is set to host two public events in February to unveil the plans for Balgray Wind Farm. The project, located 6km north-east of Lockerbie, would consist of a maximum of seven turbines up to 230m high and 50MW of battery storage – bringing with them a community benefit fund of more than £8m during the lifetime of the project.

Local residents are encouraged to attend the forthcoming events, which will take place in February, where they will have the opportunity to meet with members of the Fred. Olsen Renewables project team, examine the visual representations of the project and provide their valuable feedback.

Nathan Liddell, Assistant Project Manager at Fred. Olsen Renewables, commented:

“We look forward to welcoming local residents to our first round of public exhibitions. These events provide an excellent opportunity for the local community to learn more about our plans, have their questions answered and to provide their feedback.

“The comments that we gather at these events will help to inform the wind farm design. I encourage everyone with an interest in the plans to drop in and meet the team.”
